Morning Affirmations & Rituals

What are your morning affirmations & rituals?  I need something & I'm not sure how to begin.  Would like to start off the morning on a positive note, with my intent for the day being a focus, but I'm struggling how to get that into concrete ideas that can then become action.

Any pointers or tips would be a great help.

I don't need to get up as early as I do, but I get up on purpose to have coffee and toast with my husband before work. The house is quiet, the kids are still asleep...it gives us a moment to talk about the upcoming day and just enjoy some quiet together. When I don't that little slice of peace in the morning for one reason or another...I'm always more stressed that day.

Pick something that works for you and then stick to it!

I have coffee mid morning with a friend and it puts a high point into my day. No, it's not the caffeine ;-), it's the half hour we have a time to chat and I take a break from my work on etsy or even the days that I have to go to my part time job, it gives me a perk up for the day.

When we don't have coffee, I'm always a little discombobulated for the day

Find something that is a good ritual for yourself.

well for me it will need to be something i do right upon waking up. this morning i did some stretches & as i was stretching i repeated three times today will be a good day. okay sounds a little airy fairy, but i think i'm on the right track. i'll probably add something else maybe lighting some incense or a candle.

There's a wonderful meditation by Stin Hansen called something like "I love, honor, and respect myself"

Have you heard it? Check out www.mythoughtcoach.com or the Stin Hansen podcast (on iTunes) for some affirmations and meditations. :)
