Well my little guy is home with an upset tummy :( hopefully he feels better soon. I'm at the very least home for half the day from work. I will use the time to tidy up some around here. I'll also get my weight exercises done.
I've also been thinking about wanting to come up with some sort of blog schedule. Just some sort of guide mostly for myself about what to write about each day. Then I wonder is that to structured? I currently do:
~ Wordless Wednesday
~ Plus i try to feature an Etsy shop on saturday but this past weekend i totally didn't
There are things I'm really passionate about. That you can eco friendly & it can be done simply & you can still look great doing it. That I have this large artistic/creative side that often gets pushed to the back burner for more 'important' things. That buying homemade items from artisans is IMPORTANT hence my etsy addiction. Living a healthy lifestyle is important to me & that includes eating real food, that tastes good that I made. I'll have to keep spinning these thoughts around. If anyone has any feedback how they organize their blog posts please share your ideas. Or if you don't then what works for you? There may be more posts on this subject coming up...lol.

Clean Your Face With Oil
I wish I had perfect skin, but I don’t. I tend to be on the oily side which as I’m getting older will work out to my benefit. On the downside I still get breakouts I’m almost 41 years old, and still get the odd pimple. So one day I was looking up the benefits of using Olive Oil on the skin, and imagine my surprise when I discovered The Oil Cleansing Method Wow! Wash my face with oil you’ve got to be kidding me. But after more reading, and I saw how many people swore it didn’t leave their skin an oil slick, and they thought it was good I thought why not. So I bought some castor oil to make my own oil cleanser. That next morning I mixed up a mixture of 50/50 castor oil and olive oil massaged it all over my face, and then went in the shower. At the end of my shower I used a wash cloth, and gently wiped off the oil. I was completely shocked that when I got out of the shower dried off my face, and discovered that not only did it not feel like an oil slick it actually felt like I need more moisture….lol. So I used my moisturizer with sunscreen. However my skin did feel very soft and I noticed fewer blackheads. I did adjust my mixture to add more olive oil so that I get the moisture I felt my skin needed. I’ve been using this method for about two weeks now, and I keep asking Chris if my face feels softer and he says yes.
I find this such a great method in cleaning my face as I can customize my oil mixture just for me. I know EXACTLY what’s in it. I cut down on packaging and waste in that way. More importantly for this Crunchy Diva to do it, it HAS to be simple, and this is VERY simple.

Take The Flats And Hand Washing Challenge
Just doing some random blog reading the other day. It started as it usually does where I just googled some topics that interest me, and searched ‘family cloth’ (family cloth will be discussed another time), and I discovered this cloth diapering Mamma’s blog Dirty Diaper Laundry in particular I read with great interest this post Take The Flats and Handwashing Challenge I understand that money is tight for lots of people at the moment, but can you imagine my shock when I read the article that some families resort to reusing disposable diapers. Could you imagine reusing a disposable diaper? Could you imagine making a little baby sit in a dirty diaper one second longer than they need to, because money is that tight? Just keeping diapers on babies is hard for some families. I didn’t know this as my little guy is 10 years old, and hasn’t been in diapers for a long time. So in reading Kim’s blog I was happy to read that she had a call for action. That she had a challenge. That she was trying to educate people that there are options. You don’t have to use disposable diapers. You don’t have to use a diaper service or pre-fold fabric diapers. You can save money, and not have to keep buying disposables. Please check out the link above to read about the Flats and Hand Washing Challenge May 23 – May 30. I will not be able to 100% join in the challenge, but I will be doing my part, and hand washing a couple loads that week and hanging them to dry. Kim has some great videos and resources to help get you all ready for that challenge. The very least please check it out.

Long Time No Post
I was encourage, and supported by my Chris to keep my blog up to date. He believes in me, and thinks I have a good blog on the go. I have missed it, and not sure why I stopped posting. I’m not sure how others do it all. I see wonderful blogs where people are selling their creations, blogging, reviewing products, tweeting, working & still having time to be Moms create, be artistic as well as everything else they do. Almost makes me jealous as they see to be much more organized than I. So those of you who are creative & artistic as well as keep up an with an active blog what are some of your tips? I mean I would love to do it all, but can I?
Recently I haven’t been very crafty lately just not feeling it. I have fabric that I need to sew into hexagons. I have a costume I bought second hand that I need to over haul. There’s knitting I would like to do just haven’t been in the mood lately ~sigh.~
I’ve been dancing lots two classes a week one belly dance class and one Bollywood class. I’m really enjoying them. Our hafla (student showcase) is coming up in June and I’m looking forward to it. Right now I’ll be doing 5 dances lol sounds like a lot, and I think my teacher might add another Bollywood one depending how fast we learn Jai Ho. I need to be better with my practicing however. Right now I need to drill my floor routines for Jai Ho…lol…it is looking like a hot mess.
Check out tomorrows post as I will have a uber ‘green’ challenge to share with everyone.

Hey!!!!
Wow I can't believe I didn't blog yesterday. We had a good weekend. It was very low key & just us, but we had fun. We spent a lot of time cooking on the weekend. Which was great. Saturday I cooked a whole chicken in the crockpot sooo easy. Chris then turned it into home made chicken soup that turned out soooo yummy we ate it Sunday before taking jeremy out trick or treating. Sunday we did go swimming, had the chicken soup Chris made along with home made dumplings, then it was out to with the others for trick-or -treating. It was a fun time.
On the crafty end of things I'm still trying to finish Jeremy's scarf...lol. Every time I think I have it long enough he's like Mommy can it be just a little longer...lol. I sort of worked on some hexies last night. I mean I cut out the paper, got the pined onto fabric so tonight I can just baste them on. Still waiting on more 'scraps' to come in the mail. I have dish cloths to swap & the dish cloths are totally wanting to get in the mail & on there way...lol.
